Dimapur(Nagaland) May 2: Air Deccan, under the regional air connectivity scheme of Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN), started its operations-- Kolkata-Dimapur flight via Shillong and Agartala from May 1.
Sources said that initially a 19-seater will operate Kolkata-Agartala-Shillong-Dimapur route. The flight will start from Kolkata at 7.50 a.m. and make stops at Agartala and Shillong en route to Dimapur. It will return to Kolkata at 3 p.m. The flight will operate on all days except Sunday.
On Tuesday, the flight arrived Dimapur airport around 1 p.m without any passenger. Only the officials of the airlines were aboard the maiden flight. Air Deccan has resumed its services after it withdrew its operations in 2007.
