Beijing:China sharpens attack on India for facilitating a separatist Dalai Lama to visit Arunachal Pradesh where the Tibetan spiritual leader is spending nine days in Tawang.
In her briefing on Thursday in Beijing, foreign ministry spokesman Hua Chuyang accused New Delhi of disregarding the interest of the neighbouring country which, she said, might fuel tension along the border.
She further called the Nobel Laureate a separatist who has been trying to carve a separate Tibet out of China. “By inviting the Dalai Lama to the disputed area, India has downplayed the Chinese interest,” she said.
This is for the second consecutive day Beijing opposed the spiritual leader’s visit to Arunachal Pradesh which began on Wednesday when China took on India for allowing Dalai Lama to visit Arunachal Pradesh fearing that it would embitter the age old Sino-Indian brotherhood.
