Boeing 737 With Over 100 Onboard Crashes Soon After Takeoff From Havana

Havana (Cuba) , May 19 :  A Boeing 737 plane crashed on Friday shortly after taking off from Havana's main airport, Cuban state-run media reported, adding that it was not yet known if there were any casualties.
 
The plane was a domestic flight going to Holguin, carrying 104 passengers, state-run TV said.
 
"It crashed between the locality of Boyeros and the village of Santiago de La Vegas", state-run TV said in its midday news broadcast, referring to an area some 20 km south of Havana.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has told US lawmakers that his personal data was also harvested and sold by Cambridge Analytica and he intends to initiate legal action against the British firm accused of stealing personal information and using it for political purposes. Zuckerberg replied "yes" when asked if his personal data was included in the information sold to the "malicious third parties" by the lawmakers during a testimony before the House Energy and Commerce Committee yesterday.
 

Algeria : 257 killed in military plane crash

Algiers (Algeria) , April 11 :At least 257 people were killed in a military plane crash near an airfield outside the Algerian capital on Wednesday, the media reported.
 
An Ilyushin I76 troop carrier belonging to the Algerian Air Force crashed in the military airbase of Boufarik in Blida province, Xinhua news agency quoted the Defence Ministry as saying.

U.S., Russia clash at U.N. over chemical weapons attacks in Syria

United Nations / Beirut , April 11 :Russia and the United States tangled on Tuesday at the United Nations over the use of chemical weapons in Syria as Washington and its allies considered whether to strike at President Bashar al-Assads forces over a suspected poison gas attack last weekend.
 
Moscow and Washington halted attempts by each other in the U.N. Security Council to set up international investigations into chemical weapons attacks in Syria, which is in the throes of a seven-year-old civil war.
 

Israel Suspected of Striking Syrian Air Base

Beirut(Lebanon ) , April 10: Israel  appeared to have escalated its shadow war in Syria against Iran, with a predawn airstrike against a military base that coordinates Iranian-backed militias, killing four Iranian military advisers.
 
The dead included a colonel who served as a senior officer in Iran’s drone program, according to Iranian news reports.
 

Dog 'dies of depression' after being abandoned at airport by her owner

London (UK):  Real sad news for animal lovers who keep them as pets  . A dog has reportedly died after spending a month at an airport awaiting its owner's return.
 
The dog, which was named 'Nube Viajera' or 'Wandering Cloud' by vets who treated her, is believed to have been dumped at the airport her owner.
She spent a month mingling with passengers and sniffing them, presumably looking for her owner, before she gave up and lay in a corner of the terminal at Palonegro airport in Columbia.
