Assam: India experiencing efficiency, formalisation and financialization together says Kotak Mutual Fund Chief Nilesh Shah

Guwahati(Assam): Brand New Day, the largest and the most awarded financial advisory firm in the North-east organized ‘BND Conversations 5.0’ at Vivanta by Taj. The key note speakers at the event were Col. Lalit Rai ,  Nilesh Shah - Managing Director, Kotak Mutual Fund,  Harrish Zaveri - Fund Manager, Head Equity Research, DSP BlackRock,  Kailash Kulkarni - Chief Executive of Investment, Management & Group Head of Marketing, L&T Finance Holdings Limited,  Sanjeev Patkar - Fund Manager - AIF, Head - Research, SBI Mutual Fund and Dr. Harsha Bhattacharjee - Founder Medical Director and Trustee of Sri Sankardeva  Nethralaya, Guwahati.
The event was divided into two power-packed sessions with all 6 speakers spread across the day. Themed #NewIndia2022, the underlying objective of the seminar was to enrich the participants with a better perspective on the current scenario and road ahead to a new nation coupled with insights from the most accomplished game-changers in the country who deliberated on their personal vision of a New India by 2022. The event was attended by over 400 retail investors and businessmen from across India which ended on a high note.
Harrish Zaveri, the key note speaker on Stock Market guided the audience with right and focused investment approach in the stock market. Sanjeev Patkar highlighted on how we are looking at the market and how we should plan to do better than our peers in the next 5 years. He recommended, “Investors should focus on demand and supply while focusing on value creating companies”. On his outlook for Indian Economy,  Kailash Kulkarni said, “India is a secular growth economy and is one of the best placed economies in the world in terms of demographics, demand and growth”. He also spoke at length on the keys to asset allocation, importance of financial literacy and on equities as asset class. 
“Efficiency, Formalisation and Financialization - these three things have never happened in India earlier together, now that it is happening, achche din zaroor aayenge”, said Nilesh Shah. Col. Lalit Rai shared his life’s journey to a packed auditorium, the motivation and strength to join the Indian army as the CO of 1/11 Gorkha Rifles.
Speaking at the sidelines of the event,  Pallav Bagaria, CEO, Brand New Day said, “This was the fifth season of BND Conversations, that I am glad was appreciated by the audience.
