Agartala (Tripura) : In a significant development , The Governor of Tripura Tathagota Roy submitted a detailed report to the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wedneday on the present law and order situation in the state .
According to highly placed sources the Tripura Governor in his report narrated on the overall law and order in the state as of now.
He also said in his report that he had asked the Chief Secretary and the Director General Of police to come have a meeting with him . But neither the Chief Secretary nor the Director General of Police complied to his order.
Sources said that it was as per the instruction of the State Chief Minister, Manik Sarkar that both the top officials were not able to have a meeting with the Governor.
The one -on - one meet assumes a great significance as it took place just ahead of the February Asembly elections in the state. However, The BJP national preident , Amit Shah announced in one of his rallies in the state that elections in the state is likely to be held in the month of March,this year.
