Nagaland : CM Rio allocates portfolios

Dimapur(Nagaland) March 12: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Monday, the fifth day of swearing in of his council of ministers allocated the portfolios to the 12 member cabinet.
Rio kept the key portfolio of Finance, personnel and Administrative reforms and all other important portfolios not allocated to any minister.
Yanthungo Patton, the deputy of Rio and leader of BJP legislature Party has again got Home and National Highways. He had also served as the Home Minister of the previous TR Zeliang led DAN government. Agriculture and Cooperation was given to G Kaito Aye, CM Chang-Forest, Environment & Climate Change and parliamentary affairs, Neiba Kronu given Planning & coordination and land revenue, health and family welfare was allocated to S Pangnyu Phom. 
Transport, Communication & Railways and Land resources was allocated to P Paiwang Konyak, Jacob Zhimomi allocated PHE, Tongpang Ozukum got PWD. Urban and municipal affairs was allocated to Metsubo Jamir, Kashiho Sangtam got soil and water conservation and women and child development while Temjen Imna Along got higher and technical education.
12-member newly elected Peoples Democratic Alliance cabinet led by Chief minister Rio  was administered oath of office and secrecy by Governor P.B. Acharya on March 8 at local ground, Kohima.
The first session of the 13  Nagaland Legislative Assembly will begin  on March 13 and continue till 26.
