Border Bonhomie :Exhibition women's football match between BhutanXI & Kokrajhar X1

Kokrajhar(Assam) : With a  gesture to build good and friendly relations  between Bhutan and India  an women's football exhibition match  was organised  between Bhutan XI and Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA) XI was  organised here at  KDSA stadium ground,  A huge  crowd from both the sides  thronged  the stadium to witness the much .
Intrestingly , the Indo - Bhutan border is an open border  and there are no restrictions in free movement .
Bhutan XI won the  exhibition match  defaeting  the  Kokrajhar District sports Association (KDSA) XI by 2-0 goals. 
The women's football exhibition  was in run -up to the  Bodoland martyrs gold cup football championship in Kokrajhar. 
BTC deputy chief Kampa Borgoyary kicked off the match and extended best wishes to  both the teams. 
'It was an initiative to strengthen peace and integraty of friendship  between Bhutan and India.The football exhibition was not only match, but also  exhibits deep friendship among us ',Kampa said.
A 30 members team of Bhutan including team manager, coach, officials participated in the  match led by Ugen Rabten, Secretary of Indo-Bhutan Friendship Association (BIFA).
The match  created amusement among football lovers and  spectators as neighbouring country's women footballers ehxibited some beautiful techniques. 
The  Secretary of Indo -Bhutan  Friendship  Association  Ugen Rabten,  expressed  his happiness over the  bond of relationship with deep faith in building international cooperation. 
'Our  national players  are very happy to play football in India soil..We are  be thankful to the organisers for playing  host beautiful match  ',Rabten said.
Among others, BTC executive member Doneswar Goyary, senior football organisers were present  on the occasion.
